Ashton was coughing really badly and had been having fever since Sunday so we decided to bring him to the Pd on Tuesday. Doctor said his cough doesn't sound good and needed to go for an x-ray. At the radiological clinic, Ashton was really scared to lie down on the bed shirtless. He begged me to carry him away but we couldn't. So Lawrence had to hold down his arms while I held his buttocks to keep him still. The x-ray showed that his left lung had some white patches which showed infection. He was diagnosed as having pneumonia.
The Pd prescribed us zithomax (antibiotics) and advised that if his fever still doesn't go away by thursday, we would have to bring him back to the hospital for admission. Poor little Ashton! Thank God he responded well to the antibiotics and was cleared of the fever on wednesday. We brought him for a final review yesterday and Pd said he has improved a lot. As long as he doesn't have fever, we can continue with his staple of ventolin spray and singulair. It was a relief! I really do not want Ashton to go through having another x-ray. I hate to see the fear in his eyes and his begging for us to save him.
