I would never have thought this would happened but it did yesterday. As you know, Ashton has never been too fond of swimming and there were times when he was so afraid that he cringed whenever we were near the pool.
Well, everything changed yesterday when cousin Zach was at our place. Zach was a water-baby and daring when it comes to water play. Ashton saw Zach enjoying himself in the pool and he couldn't wait to join him. Play is indeed an important part in children development. Something that he wouldn't think or want to do changed the moment he saw someone he knew enjoying themselves.
When we wanted to get the children out of the pool after some time, Ashton protested and it took me the same energy required to coax him to get into the pool in the past as it did yesterday to get him out. But I am not complaining as this is a happy 'problem'.
And now, if you asked Ashton if he would like to go swimming, a resounding "YES" would be the answer! Thank God! Finally!
